Safe Babies (3 Day) Certification
May 21st 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
The Safe Babies Foster Parent Training is a 3 day educational program for those interested in becoming caregivers of infants who have been prenatally exposed to drugs/alcohol.
This training will cover the following topics:
- Introduction to Safe Babies (who, what, when, where, why)
- Understanding Women and Addiction
- Impacts of Substance Use During Pregnancy
- Partnership with Birth Families
- Neonatal Withdrawal and Related Health Issues
- Neurodevelopmental Support for Substance Exposed Infants
Day 1: Tuesday, May 21, 2019
Day 2: Tuesday, May 28, 2019
Day 3: Tuesday, May 30, 2019
