Cariboo Local Youth In Care Network

We are in the process of setting up a YICN Local in the Cariboo! If you are 14+ and interested in attending events, coming on as a Local Leader and/or helping plan events let us know.

Local Youth Facilitators: Local Facilitators are young people between 14 and 24 years of age who guide the planning for all the events happening in the area with the assistance of adult support. Our Local leaders are involved in planning events, making posters, learning how to budget our expense, shopping for supplies and getting the word out.

Announcements

  • Be sure to check out the Fed Connects Facebook Page! This is a virtual space that offers youth in and from government care a place to come together, build skills and access information.
  • It is important that all participants in Fed Connects programming understand that the Fed Values Code applies in all Fed spaces including virtual ones.
The Fed Values Code is an evolving document that is a collection of values that all youth members, participants, staff and adult supports are accountable to when attending or participating in Fed run programs, events, outings, and social media. Disregard for the Values Code will have consequences that may include removal from an event or activity and future events or activities. The Fed staff are committed to ensuring that Fed events are safe and comfortable for all youth to participate in.
  • Want to be a local youth facilitator? Our Cariboo Local is looking for young people who are interested in helping grow our local. Send us an e-mail or call/text us to find out more.
