The Fed is excited to announce the launch of Fed Connects! * We will provide virtual content while we navigate the new normal of physical distancing to help prevent the spread of COVID -19. Our goal is to create virtual spaces where community and belonging are at the forefront. The content we are creating will support youth to engage with each other while having access to workshops, consultations, live events, Zoom webinars and more.
Events will take place via Facebook through the new Fed Connects Group. Search “Fed Connects” and request to join. Most of our activities will take place through this group and our Zoom Webinars will also be live streamed here. The Fed team is working to create different events and webinars, and details for new events will be shared as they become available.
We have created a calendar of regular events that youth can access, including:
- Fed Family Chat – Starting March 26 and happening Monday -Friday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm via Zoom Video Chat. The meeting ID will be posted in the Fed Connects Private Group. Come join some Fed Staff to connect and chat. Our goal with these daily chats is for us all to say hi, connect and support folks.
- Fed Connects Harry Potter Book Club – Starting Tuesday March 31 and running Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00am to 12:00pm in the Fed Connects Group via Facebook Live. Join Jessy as she reads Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone Live, each reading will be followed by a group discussion with questions created by Steph
- Keep an eye out for workshop announcements on topics like Peer Support, how to spot “Fake News” and more!
If you have any ideas or suggestions for things we can do, please send them our way! We look forward to seeing all your lovely faces in the days to come!
